Retrotherm provides professional installation of the K-13 cellulose product.  The K-13 system consists of high quality recycled cellulose fibers, chemically treated to be Class I fire rated and non-toxic, then blended with a patented advanced vinyl adhesive.  Properly applied, the K-13 system provides a durable, permanent, thermal and acoustical barrier free from voids, gaps, and compression most commonly found in other forms of insulation.

K-13, with its wide variety of color choices, will bond to any surface including, glass, urethane, Styrofoam, wood, metal, and concrete.

K-13 provides a high R-value of 4.54 when applied at a minimum thickness of 1 inch.  K-13 may be applied up to 5 1/2 inches thick in one pass.  But most important is the ability to prevent heat loss caused by infiltration.  Test studies have confirmed that voids, gaps, and compressions in traditional insulation products result in an increase of as much as 50% in heat loss.  K-13, properly installed, eliminates this condition completely.
